Follow these steps to update the firmware from EWS
- Identify printerâ€™s IP Address or Host name.
- Touch Ethernet to view the IP Address on the Printerâ€™s Control Panel.
- Open Web Browser and type IP Address or Host name on the address bar.
- From EWS select Sign In.
- Enter administrator credentials.
- Select General Tab, then select Firmware Upgrade.
- Select Choose File under Install New Firmware.
- Select the firmware downloaded from HP.com/drivers.
- Select Install.
Follow these steps to update the firmware with a USB Flash Drive.
- Insert a USB drive into computerâ€™s USB port.
- Save the downloaded firmware file to a USB Flash drive.
- Insert the USB Flash drive into printerâ€™s port.
- Select Device Maintenance from printerâ€™s Control Panel.
- Select USB Firmware Upgrade.
- Select Upgrade.
- The installation might take several minutes.
