Follow these steps to resolve the carriage jam error message:
- With the printer powered on, disconnect the power cord and any other attached cables.
- Slide out the input tray.
- Remove any jammed paper from the ink cartridge access door and rear access door.
- Reconnect all the cables and cord.
- Reinsert the input try with paper loaded.
- On the printerĂ¢€™s control panel, touch OK for the error message.
- Print a test document.

Follow these steps if the error persists by using different media:
- Slide out the input tray and open the tray extension cover.
- Load the input tray using thicker paper than the normal ones.
- Close the tray extension.
- Slide in the input tray.
- On the printerĂ¢€™s control panel, touch OK or Modify based on your preference.
- Touch Copy.
- Then touch Document.
- Remove any paper from ADF and scanner bed.
- Touch Copy, this will remove any jammed paper stuck in the printing path.
- Now load the normal paper into the input tray.
- Print a test document.

Follow these steps if the error still persists:
- Remove the ink cartridge access door.
- Ensure the cartridges are in their respective slots.
- Slide out all the cartridges and reinstall them again.
- Close the ink cartridge access door.
- On the printerĂ¢€™s control panel, touch OK for the error message.
- Print a test document.

Continue following these steps if the error persists:
- Remove the ink cartridge access door.
- With the printer powered on, remove the power cord and any other attached cables.
- From the front, move the carriage into the ink cartridge access area.
- Lift the carriage latch handle to unlock the printhead.
- Without removing the ink cartridges, lift the printhead up and out of the printer.
- Place the printhead upside down on a sheet of paper for not less than 10 minutes.
- Remove any jammed paper.
- Insert back the printhead into the carriage.
- Lower the carriage latch handle to lock the printhead.
- Close the ink cartridge access door.
- Reconnect all the cables and cords.
- On the printerĂ¢€™s control panel, touch OK for the error message.
- Print a test document.
