Follow these steps to update the firmware from EWS
- Identify printer’s IP Address or Host name.
- Touch Ethernet to view the IP Address on the Printer’s Control Panel.
- Open Web Browser and type IP Address or URL on the address bar.
- From EWS select Sign In.
- Enter administrator credentials.
- Select General Tab, then select Firmware Upgrade.
- Select Choose File under Install New Firmware.
- Select the firmware downloaded from HP.com/drivers.
- Select Install.
Follow these steps to update the firmware with a USB Flash Drive.
- Insert a USB drive into computer’s USB port.
- Save the downloaded firmware file to a USB Flash drive.
- Insert the USB Flash drive into printer’s port.
- Select Support Tools from printer’s Control Panel.
- Select Maintenance
- Select USB Firmware Upgrade
- Select Updated Firmware
- Select Install.
